Our Director

Jennifer Poole is currently in her 15th year as orchestra director at Cherry Creek High School. Prior to this, she was the orchestra director at West Middle School for three years. Mrs. Poole received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheaton College and her Masters of Music Education degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Mrs. Poole was the principal violist for ten years with the St. Mary’s Chamber Orchestra, a Baroque ensemble that performed on replicas of eighteenth-century Baroque instruments. She has been playing viola with the Metropolitan String Quartet for over ten years.

Mrs. Poole’s orchestras have been invited to perform at the Colorado Music Educator’s Convention four times in the past eight years, as well as being selected to perform for the high school orchestra festival hosted by University of Colorado – Boulder. In addition to her love of music and teaching, Mrs. Poole enjoys reading, hiking, and taking road trips to the mountains with her husband and two young daughters.
